Bennett Professor of Evidence Based Medicine

Department of Primary Care Health Sciences in association with Jesus College

The Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences and Jesus College are seeking applications for the Bennett Professorship of Evidence Based Medicine.

This new professorship at the University of Oxford, established through a generous benefaction from Peter Bennett, will provide leadership clinical informatics and digital health, especially in the safer use of routinely collected health data in globally impactful research, that improves the provision of healthcare and the setting of policy internationally in relation to healthcare data in general.

You will have an outstanding research record of international stature in clinical informatics research, or directly related areas of research, and the vision, leadership, experience and enthusiasm to build on current strengths in maintaining and developing a leading research presence. There is a requirement to also contribute to teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels and a strong commitment to recruitment, training and mentoring of the next generation of researchers in the area.

A track record of excellence in public and professional communication is also an expectation. Medically trained is a requirement for this clinical chair, with preference given in primary care or public health.
