Behavior Technicians (BT) implement treatment plans as directed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This includes training clients to engage in language based learning in addition to behavior reduction strategies. BTs collect data while implementing treatment plans. This requires the ability to multi-task while collecting accurate data. BTs will work well as a member of a team, present themselves in professional manner and enjoy working with children. Punctual arrival and attendance is very important. Our BCBA provides a high level of support to staff and clients and enjoys supervising members of a team. Upon joining our team, employees will engage in 40 hours of training. After completion of training and demonstration of competency of skills, staff will complete a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam to complete certification as a RBT. Due to the required training to fill the position we respectfully request that staff plan to remain a member of the team for 1-2 years.
Required Qualifications
Prefer personal experience with children with disabilities and/or educational background in a related field (i.e., education, early childhood development, psychology, occupational therapy, etc.).
