The Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences is committed to the education,

community, nation and world. The Department is dedicated to the creation,
dissemination and application of knowledge gained through state of the art
biomedical and pharmaceutical research that enhances understanding of disease
processes and leads to the development and refinement of therapies to enhance
the quality of life through improved healthcare.
The applicant is expected to learn and apply biochemistry techniques regularly
in the lab. Techniques include cell culture, lentivirus preparation, glassware
cleanup and organization, cryostorage maintenance, solution preparation,
western blot, various fluorescence and luminescence assays.
Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in Cogndon Hall. Hours may vary
depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a
student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to
20 hours per week.
Management of laboratory consumables
Accurate and thorough recording of experiments and data in lab
Perform experiments to test hypotheses
Contribute to the lab intellectually by participating in lab meetings
and understand the task at hand.
