The University of Hull is securing its position as a leader in low carbon innovation, net zero and decarbonization. The Aura Innovation Centre (AIC) at the geographical heart of an active, diverse and growing low carbon supply chain, located at the Humber Bridgehead Business Park in Hessle, East Yorkshire, coalesces multidisciplinary, multi-stakeholder initiatives bringing together UK expertise in engineering, and physical, environmental and social sciences to establish a global Centre of industrial and academic excellence in renewable energy.

The Centre has been structured to harness and enable collaboration, sharing the facility are several local businesses and academic specialists from the University. The Aura Innovation Centre is the University's ‘front door' for business and industry.

The position of Aura Innovation Centre Community Lead provides an integral element of the AIC operation and supports the growing value of the brand.

The post holder will develop a vibrant community in the AIC, in collaboration with key stakeholders and colleagues across the University, focused primarily on ‘FleX', the AIC's flexible working space. FleX subscription holders form a significant contribution to the vibrant atmosphere demonstrated within the AIC, in addition to the volume of valuable commercial income attracted into the FleX space.

The Aura Innovation Centre Community Lead will be responsible for developing and nurturing a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders. This role involves engagement, community support to connect members with each other, and liaison with other external facing roles across the University. The postholder will be a proactive networker with a deep understanding and strong ability to connect people and ideas.
