Degree or related career in Audio Video (A/V) Industry or Information
Systems is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
Certifications for Audio/Video/Control platforms is a plus (Polycom,
Extron, Crestron, AMX, etc)
Event planning experience.
Experience with campus event management and work order systems (EMS &
Micromain) is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Flexible schedule, night and weekend work will be required
Entry Level IT Windows/Mac competency
Experience running sound/audio boards/balancing audio and microphones
Basic familiarity and troubleshooting electrical issues (resetting fuses,
etc)
Experience in event production and organization is a plus

Job Description Summary:
The Audio Video Technician & Event Specialist for Cabrini University will work
in the Conference and Events department to provide A/V and event support
across campus. This position will be responsible for supporting A/V events for
internal and external groups and will be present at campus events to assist
with overall event responsibilities. Event support will frequently be needed
during nights and weekends. The Audio Video Technician & Event Specialist will
also support and maintain A/V equipment in classrooms and should be familiar
with how A/V is used for teaching and learning in Higher Education. This
position will also work closely with the Office of Information Resources and
Technology (ITR) to support on campus ITR issues that arise. The Audio Video
Technician & Event specialist will be expected to provide training for other
staff to help them provide additional ITR & A/V support as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and provide support to a variety of A/V and computer equipment on
campus including, projectors, microphones, soundboards, TV's, etc
Operate and support software related to A/V events (video conferencing,
PowerPoint, etc)
Responsible for completing all AV event setup and clean up for events
Assist with event set up and breakdown as needed (i.e. tables, chairs,
etc)
Assist with event coordination, registration, and general oversight of
internal and external programs as part of the C&E team
Provide telecommunication devices for events on campus
Virtual Event support including use of Live Streaming equipment & virtual
platforms (Teams, Zoom & collaborate)
Provide immediate response to requests for assistance to events in
progress
Maintain A/V equipment across campus and oversee maintenance and repairs
that involve external vendors
Create and maintain inventory of A/V equipment on campus
Create documentation and instructions on proper usage of A/V equipment
Provide training regarding Virtual events and A/V usage and support to
other staff members
Work with external vendors to design innovative A/V designs for
classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces.
Work with internal campus event scheduling system, EMS to manage/process
event requests.
