Birkbeck, University of London, has an excellent opportunity for an Associate Tutor to teach 'Academic Skills for Psychology'.
We are seeking an Associate Tutor to join the School of Psychological Sciences, Faculty of Science, this coming Autumn, to teach the following module:
Your role will be to support teaching, in order to enable students to complete their studies successfully and undertake related course administrative duties as required. Your main responsibility will be preparation and running studying skills focused seminar, teaching, and marking assessments on the Academic Skills for Psychology first year, level 4 module. This also includes marking reassessments which may fall outside the contracted hours, i.e. in the summer reassessment period.
Most incumbents of roles at this level will be employed as part of their general academic development and will be undertaking this work independently but in parallel with postgraduate studies.

Salary:
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £58.48 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 6 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier' at 2.5 which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
