The Department of Chemistry at Indiana University (https: // www. chem.indiana.edu/) invites applications for a position beginning August 2021 at the rank the Associate Scientist.

Basic Qualifications

The candidate should have state-of-the-art technical expertise in the chemical synthesis and biological assessment of medicinal peptides. This includes the proven ability to assemble in vitro assays to assess biological activity and the technical competency in LCMS-methods for quantification of peptide pharmacokinetics. The suitable candidate would have ten years or more of post- PhD experience that includes post-doctoral training and employment in biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies with expertise in macromolecular chemistry. The competence of the candidate would be evident in a proven record of peer-reviewed publications and patents demonstrating the advanced skill and creativity in the design, synthesis and biological assessment of medicinal peptides. The candidate will have begun to establish a national reputation through his or her published work on their successful research.
