  • Director of the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences in Cracow, announces a competition for the position of adjunct in the Division of Mineral Policy

    Candidates should meet the conditions set out in Article 89, paragraph 3. Act on the Polish Academy of Sciences of April 30, 2010, with subsequent changes.

    Eligibility criteria

    Documents:

  • Employment application addressed to the Director of Institute, including the clause: "I agree for processing the personal data from the job offer for the purposes of the recruitment procedure in accordance with the Data Protection Act of August 29th, 1997 (Journal of Laws of 2002, No.101, item 926 with later changes)."

  • Copy of the PhD diploma
  • Certificate confirming knowledge of English or other congress language
  • List of the research publications and applied works.
  • Statement that - in case of winning the competition - Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences will be the main candidate's workplace
  • Statement on acceptance of competition requirements.

    Selection process

    Full time work.

    Employment period - for an indefinite period from 01.10.2021 r.

    Documents should be submitted to the Secretariat of the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute PAS (31-261 Cracow, J. Wybickiego 7A).

    The deadline for submitting documents is 20.08.2021 r.

    The competition will be settled on 25.08.2021 r.

    Candidates will be informed about the result of the competition.

    The Institute does not provide housing.

    Skills/Qualifications

    Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Earth Science (discipline – Geology)
  • authorship or co-authorship of published, peer-reviewed scientific works
  • certificate confirming knowledge of English or other congress language (German, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian) at the minimal level B2
  • achievements and involvement in the field related to the issues required by the competition, confirmed by the opinion of the scientific supervisor.
  • Specific Requirements

    Additional advantages:

  • master degree in the field of environmental protection
  • experience in the implementation of international projects
  • experience in managing teams responsible for environmental impact assessment
  • at least 10-years period of employment in the research institution
  • at least 10-years period of experience in performing scientific and research as well as applied works in the field of environmental impact assessments, including strategic environmental impact assessments, in particular for mining and industrial facilities.
