  • About the position

    This position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a School that has an outstanding reputation for teaching and research excellence, for research translation and for building strong relationships with industry partners.

    The successful candidate will be a nationally and internationally recognised service management scholar and will work with disciplines within the School to promote the domain of service management within the La Trobe Business School. The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of high- quality educational offerings at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level, promote excellence in teaching and learning and assure the quality of the academic programs within the School. The successful candidate will also take up a leadership role in innovative curriculum development and management, course and program rankings, and foster excellence student success within the School. The successful candidate will also undertake impactful research, publish in ABDC Aand A/top 10% Q1 journals, and generate external research income. Developing and nurturing effective and productive relationships between the School, the University and industry will also be an important requirement of this role.

    Skills and Experience

    The successful candidate will have an excellent record in leading curriculum development and other learning and teaching initiatives in Service Management, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A sustained, strong track record of publishing in high quality journals (specifically, ABDC Aand A/top 10% Q1 journals) and an ability to attract external research funding is also critical to this role. The successful candidate will possess excellent academic administration skills and have a proven ability to develop and mentor junior Faculty. Strong industry engagement skills will also be highly regarded. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially are also key requirements of this role.
