Faculty Position in Pharmaceutics

the past four years. The Department of Pharmacy Sciences invites applications
for a full-time 12-month tenure track faculty position at the rank of
assistant/associate professor. The position is immediately available.

strong interest in and experience with web-based education are especially
encouraged to apply. Responsibilities of the position include: instruction in
both campus and distance Doctor of Pharmacy pathways; the development of and
participation in graduate education; the establishment of a basic or applied
research laboratory; and service in accordance with the mission of the
institution. Successful candidates must have a terminal doctoral degree and
will be expected to develop a strong research program in their discipline.
Scholarship is also encouraged in pharmacy education. In addition, candidates
will be expected to develop expertise in pedagogic technology.
This 12-month, tenure-track faculty position is available at the assistant or
associate professor level in the Department of Pharmacy Sciences based on
qualifications and experience. A Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical
technology or pharmaceutical sciences is required. The successful
candidate will be responsible for contributing to professional and graduate
education and research in pharmaceutical technology. Experience with medicinal
agents, organic molecules, and/or biological agents, including the physical
and engineering-based sciences of drug delivery in conjunction with various
routes of administration is preferred. Preference will also be given to
candidates with a pharmacy background and expertise in pharmaceutics,
pharmaceutical biotechnology, or the molecular properties of pharmaceutical
The ideal candidate will have, two to four years of experience in academic
pharmacy, or hold equivalent post-doctoral experience. The faculty candidate
is expected to participate in School and University committees. Salary is
