About the Role:
The School of Management at ARU is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor
in Management, to join the Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour.

research activity within the subject group, the post holder will have a key
role in leading Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) work within the
Faculty of Business and Law. This will include driving the Faculty's
contributions to institution charter mark work, such as Athena Swan, and
working with the Race Equality Charter Lead to embed inclusive practices
within the Faculty. The post holder will have academic and/or practical
experience of EDI within the workplace and will be passionate about working
with colleagues within the Faculty and across the institution to evidence and
share best practice. This will also align with the University's priority
research area of ‘Safe and Inclusive Communities', and the post holder would
be expected to contribute to this area with their own research and/or
knowledge exchange activity.
With regard to teaching, we are committed to an active, collaborative learning
pedagogy, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching via face to
face, blended, and distance learning approaches. The post-holder would
contribute to teaching and supervision on a range of undergraduate and
postgraduate taught courses in Business and Human Resource Management, in line
with their subject expertise. We also have a growing PhD and professional
doctorate programme, and the post-holder would contribute to student
recruitment, teaching, and supervision as part of the development of this
With a PhD or Professional Doctorate in a relevant discipline, and experience
of EDI within the workplace, you will have excellent written and oral
communication and be able to contribute to the collective life of the Faculty.
With successful and significant teaching experience at HE level in a relevant
subject area, you'll have a flexible and enthusiastic approach. You'll have an
established academic reputation as evidenced by contribution to subject
development and external examining/membership of external committees.
