Associate Professor in Human Resource Management

Are you an experienced and influential academic with the proven ability to carry out teaching and research in HRM and related topics? Do you have an excellent research track record and proven success obtaining funding? Are you passionate about delivering world leading research and an exceptional student experience?

We are looking for an outstanding candidate to join the Work and Employment Relations Department of Leeds University Business School. One of the largest concentrations of specialists in the field in the UK, WERD has a vibrant research culture.

As Associate Professor, you will undertake research, teaching and management within the Department, contributing to academic leadership in HRM. You will have a proven track record of research and specialist expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • People analytics and quantitative HRM
  • Labour law and employment relations
  • Human capital and skill formation
  • Strategic HRM or other HR specialism
  • You will contribute to the research agenda of in the Centre of Employment Relations Innovation and Change (CERIC) in these areas. In addition to candidates whose research interests align with the CERIC agenda (social inequalities, digital futures of work, and voice and representation), we are looking to strengthen the core HRM team with expertise in international/comparative research and quantitative HR analytics.

    As Associate Professor, you will carry out research, teaching and management within the Department, the Business School, and wider University, contributing to academic leadership in the field of HRM or related area of work and employment.

    With a PhD in HRM or a related area, you will be internationally recognised for your high quality research and publications. With significant experience of research-led teaching at all levels within higher education, you will also have held leadership roles and been involved in mentoring academic colleagues.
