Associate professor in finance About the positionThe NMBU School of Economics and Business has a vacancy for a full-time permanent position as associate professor in finance. The successful applicant will be part of the team responsible for the study programmes in economics and business administration, involving teaching, supervision, and research in finance.
The successful applicant will be part of a research-intensive environment and take part in the supervision of PhD research fellows and postdocs.
The person appointed should be prepared to take part in innovative interdisciplinary projects at a university that offers a wide scope of programmes in e.g., science, economics, technology, management of natural resources, landscape planning, nutrition, agriculture, and veterinary science.
For this position, we are especially interested in candidates with sound research competence and will especially emphasise research work carried out during the last five years. An increasing trend in the number of publications is also emphasised.
DutiesThe main duties assigned to the position are teaching and research in finance. The successful applicant should also be to teach courses related to finance, e.g., business decision making and econometrics. The position entails:

Desired qualifications:
Within three years, new staff members who do not speak a Scandinavian language must be able and willing to teach in Norwegian.
Teaching qualifications:
Applicants who do not meet the teaching qualification requirements on appointment shall be required to meet them within two years of their appointment.

Remuneration and further informationThe salary for the position, position code 1011 Associate Professor, is pay grade 70–77 (NOK 640,200–744,600), depending on qualifications. A higher salary may be considered for particularly well-qualified applicants.
