Description of Work Unit
The Department of Finance and Real Estate is one of five departments in the
College of Business. The Department has a strong record of research
accomplishments and provides excellent research support, with subscriptions to
most common databases. The Department offers a Master of Finance, and
undergraduate concentrations in finance, financial planning, and real estate,
and participates in the other programs of the College. The Department
currently has 11 tenure-track and 7 non-tenure track faculty. The Department
serves the more than 700 undergraduate students in finance, financial
planning, and real estate.

The Department of Finance and Real Estate in the College of Business at
Colorado State University invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track
position in Finance. Rank is at the Associate or Full Professor level.
Preference will be given to Full and senior Associate Professors. The
department has needs for faculty in investments, financial management and
international finance. The start date will be August 2023.

Required Job Qualifications
Candidates must have: (1) a Ph.D. degree in finance or a closely related
field; (2) Associate or Full Professor rank at current institution; (3) an
established record of publication in the top finance journals commensurate
with rank and experience; (4) demonstrated experience and/or interest to
teach in areas of need.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with the following characteristics:
(1) Full and senior Associate Professors at current institution; (2)
potential for continued high quality research publishable in the top finance
journals; (3) evidence of high quality instruction in finance.

Cover letter indicating interest in the position at Colorado State University along with a description of the applicant's ability to meet the position's required and preferred qualifications;
Three recent research publications and at least one current working paper (combined into a single file);
Evidence of teaching effectiveness including recent teaching evaluations; and
Three letters of recommendation. A letter will be requested from each reference as soon as you apply. They will receive an email from the system with a link to upload their letter. All three letters must be received by October 16 to receive full consideration.
For full consideration, applications need to be submitted no later than
11:59pm MST September 18, 2022; however, applications will be accepted until
the position is filled. Interviews will be scheduled at the FMA meetings in
Atlanta, GA in October 2022. Application materials of finalist candidates will
be made available for review by the entire faculty of the Department of
Finance and Real Estate.
