We have an excellent opportunity for an Associate Lecturer for the following module/s:

  • Philosophy of Mind – teaching 10 weeks of Level 5/6/7 (upper years BA plus MA) Philosophy of Mind. The teaching takes place in Term 3 (24/04/23 – 07/07/23) on Tuesday evenings, including lectures for BA and MA students (6-7.30pm) and seminars for MA students (7.30-8.30pm).
  • Post-graduate Research Seminar – leading 5 weeks of a PGR seminar in which students present their work; normally the seminar leader gives a presentation in week 1. The seminar takes place in the second half of Term 3 (05/06/23 – 07/07/23) on Tuesday evenings, 6-7.30pm.
  • Desirably, you will have a PhD by the start of teaching. Please refer to the person specification for further details.

    Remuneration:

    Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £63.55 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier' which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
