  • Role Description

    The Social Policy subject group in the School for Business and Society at the University of York wishes to recruit an outstanding candidate as an Associate Lecturer in Global Social Policy & International Development. You will bring academic and practice expertise around global social policy and international development. You will contribute expertise in issues such as global poverty and inequality, social and political issues in development and exploring policy research.

    In this role, you will be expected to deliver teaching across a wide range of modules with a primary focus on our online public management programmes. You will also be expected to support postgraduate students with their policy projects and independent research study.

    You will have a PhD (or near completion) or equivalent experience. You should also hold an appropriate academic professional and teaching qualification or a willingness to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice. You will be a team player who works collaboratively, flexibly and reliably, and will work alongside an experienced and supportive team of colleagues.

    This is a full time post offered on fixed term contract for maternity cover from 1st June 2023, with a salary in range £35,308 - £43,155 / year (Grade 6).
