About The Role

Due to this growth Falmouth University has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Lecturer in Animation to join its dynamic teaching team. This role will teach on BA(Hons) Animation programme on the 2D aspects of Animation, but you may also assist with Stop Motion and 3D. You will be responsible for creating and delivering Workshops on the programme.

Duties are primarily to deliver teaching material in our timetabled sessions and to support the students in our various Animation Workshops. In addition, you might support student teams in the delivery of their projects.

Other Duties include:

  • Supervising and assisting students with their Animation work in the studio
  • Assisting animation with individual practice projects
  • Conducting feedback sessions with students
  • Assessing students' projects
  • About You

    This position would ideally suit a current working Animator with experience of freelance or contract work in TV, Film or Games as the role offers a certain amount of flexibility.

    We are looking to hear from candidates who have skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Good understanding of the role of an Animator
  • Confidence with implementation in 2D Animation software
  • Experience working on Animation projects or similar
  • Familiarity with collaboration in Animation context
