The Department of Chemistry ( https: // www. chem.indiana.edu/ ) at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Associate or Full Professor level to begin in the fall of 2024. This search is part of a multi-year initiative to expand research activities on the IU Bloomington campus, in this case focusing on research into molecular mechanisms in cells, model organisms, disease models, and/or human health. We seek an individual with interest in applying bioanalytical, biophysical, synthetic chemistry, and/or omic approaches to advance our understanding of living systems at the molecular level.

Candidates should be committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The College of Arts and Sciences is committed to building and supporting a diverse, inclusive, and equitable community of students and scholars.

Basic Qualifications

We seek candidates who are committed to and have demonstrated excellence in scholarship. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field and a substantial record of research accomplishments are required. Primary teaching responsibilities will be consistent with the expertise of the successful candidate and will include both graduate and undergraduate courses.
