The University of York exists for public good. Enquiring minds, inspirational teaching, pioneering research, global ambition, local commitment and social purpose are the foundations which underpin that vision at the University of York. Our University Strategy includes bold ambitions for our research: research driven by the curiosity that opens up new knowledge, with strong disciplinary foundations combined with creative interactions across disciplinary boundaries. We achieved top 10 status in REF21, and our exemplary research, innovation and knowledge exchange activities continue to go from strength to strength.
The Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange Directorate (RIKE) provides support across the institution to enable the University's strategic ambitions for the delivery of research and knowledge exchange and the creation of an outstanding research and knowledge exchange environment. We are now seeking to appoint an Associate Director, Research Operations to provide leadership and oversight for an institution-wide specialist community providing end-to-end operational support over the research project lifecycle. The appointee will work closley with the PVCs and Deans to develop and lead the operational implementation of end to end (E2E) research change programme. Embedding a professional services culture that addresses the priorities of York's academic community and responds to the drivers created by the external environment.
