Position Summary Information
General Description/Position Purpose
Lends direct support to the Director of Financial Aid for the management and general administration of student aid programs, particularly about regulatory compliance.
Ensures planning, development, coordination, and delivery of programs to meet the needs of students, the goals of the office and compliance with all federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations.
Financial Aid Systems Administration
Responsible for the administration of the Banner Financial Aid Suite. This includes annual updates, patches, upgrades, enhancements. Enters support requests and interfaces with the Financial Aid software vendor as needed. Prepares automated process timeline and academic calendar for the Financial Aid Office for timely and efficient delivery of financial assistance to students. Maintains annual Narrative Process Flow and Banner Security Spreadsheet. Responsible for security role assignment for staff. Runs daily processes and works closely with IT to streamline and automate process when possible. Works directly with Admissions to coordinate information flow between Banner Financial Aid Suite and Slate CRM.
Works closely with IT to assist with the administration of Campus Logic program annual updates. Responsible for coordination of security role assignments for staff and responding to Campus Logic vendor requests for information.
Work closely with SU Foundation to coordinate annual updates for SU Foundation Scholarships in Next Gen system. Update student notifications as needed.
Responsible for coordination and updates of the Policies and Practices manual.
Represent the FAO and University at on and off campus aid events, such as financial aid presentations, recruitment activities, FAFSA completion nights and professional development programs.
Attend national and local conferences and training workshops.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
