  • About the Role The Associate Director, Communications and Marketing Business Partnering is a strategic leadership role driving the success of the communications and marketing function. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position demands a collaborative, outcomes-focused leader who can inspire and unify the team. The successful candidate will champion innovation, deliver exceptional service, and foster a high-performance culture within the Faculty Group.

    Through an embedded business partnering model, the Associate Director, Communications and Marketing Business Partnering will:

  • Provide expert strategic and operational leadership in the development and execution of integrated communications and marketing plans across the life-cycle of engagement with the University.
  • Lead alignment between communications and marketing planning and execution and the University's strategy and investment prioritisation.
  • Be a trusted advisor and maintain effective working relationships with key Faculty stakeholders, in particular Faculty Executive leadership.
  • Be the first point of call for the Faculty's reputation management and be accountable for strategic and operational planning and execution, the successful introduction of new modes of service delivery, issues resolution, governance, reporting, risk management, finance and continuous improvement as these relate to communications and marketing.
  • Who we are looking for We seek a results-oriented leader with a proven track record of leading teams to achieve impactful outcomes. You will excel at collaboration, thrive in complex environments, and possess exceptional communication skills.

    You will also have:

  • Extensive work experience within the marketing and communications field (preferably within higher education sector) and post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated strategic capabilities including application of frameworks, data and insights to inform sound judgement.
  • Significant experience in decision-making requiring high levels of expertise.
  • Ability to proactively identify reputation-building and thought-leadership opportunities.

    This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to- date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
