Applications are invited for an Assistant to the Faculty Manager to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Faculty Manager, and wider team as required. The position is part-time, with c.22 hours expected to be split over 3-5 days a week during core office hours, and is available on a permanent basis.
If you enjoy variety in the scope of your role, then this role will be of interest. The role sits within a supportive team based in the Faculty, which is based within the School of Arts and Humanities.
Reporting to and working with the Faculty Manager, the role holder will use a variety of systems, for which training will be given as necessary. An understanding of confidentiality and excellent interpersonal skills are a prerequisite for this role.
Administrative duties will include ensuring staff records are maintained and up to date, assisting with HR and payment processes and some support in committee work. In addition, there is the opportunity to assist in Faculty events, and with further administrative work related to programmes.
Flexibility, positive communication skills, good time management and attention to detail are critical, and an ideal candidate will also have previous administrative experience.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, versatile, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Applicants should be educated to A-Level/NVQ level 3 or have an equivalent level of practical experience.
