The purpose of this position is to provide the Department of Economics with additional teaching and service capacity for the 2021-2022 academic year in order to support the offering of online sections to international students who are not yet able to travel to Kamloops due to visa and travel issues related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The successful candidate for this one-year limited term position will teach undergraduate courses in areas such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, business and economic statistics, and possibly some specialized fields in economics. An opportunity may also arise to teach a graduate course in the Department's Environmental Economics and Management program. While the vast majority of the courses taught will be delivered face-to-face on-campus, some may be online.

The teaching load consists of four (three-credit) courses in the fall term and four courses in the winter term. The successful candidate will also take on service responsibilities in support of the Department and the School.

An appropriate mix of high-level credentials and experience is required. While applicants should normally have an earned doctorate in Economics or a related disciplinary or interdisciplinary field, highly qualified applicants with greater emphasis on relevant professional and/or community accomplishments and connections may also be considered.
