The Department of Business in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at the University of New England (UNE) invites applications for a full-time, nine- month, non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor to begin in August 2023. The ideal candidate will have a mix of teaching and practitioner expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship. The Department of Business is a diverse and growing department serving over 200 undergraduate students majoring in Business Administration (with six specialized concentrations and four minors), Sport and Recreation Management (with 2 specialized concentrations), Marine Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability & Business. This position will directly support our Business Administration major and the Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship concentration/minor.

    Responsibilities

    The department is seeking to teach courses in and continue the growth and development of Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship programs, and to support high demand for current innovation offerings. Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses including Innovation through Technology, Social Innovation, and Entrepreneurship/Small Business Management. The candidate will also participate in curricular assessment at all levels; academic advising; recruiting; and service to the school, college, and university.

    Qualifications

    A master's degree in a relevant field and three years of experience teaching innovation, entrepreneurship, and/or social innovation are required. Candidates with a doctoral degree are preferred. Experience teaching management topics is also preferred. Candidates should have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching, a minimum of 5 years of non-academic experience in a business or non-profit organization, and exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
