Assistant Student Development Officer (PR0294/22-23)

The Scholarships and Financial Aid Unit is mainly responsible for the administration and allocation of scholarships and financial assistance schemes for UGC-funded students in the University. The Unit now invites applications for the position below:

Responsibilities: • Assist in the administration of various scholarship and funding schemes, including promotion, handling enquiries and applications, arrangement of selection interviews, coordination of the award nomination, preparation of reports and letters, arrangement of funding reimbursement, etc; • Liaise with stakeholders including students, internal departments and donors; • Assist in the organisation of donor appreciation event and meetings; and • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: • A bachelor's degree with at least three years of work experience in administration or management. Work experience in tertiary institutions would be an advantage; • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua; and • Sound computer skills, good work attitude as well as strong communication, interpersonal and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Candidates with less work experience may be considered for the position of Student Development Assistant.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
