Job Summary

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky (https:// www. engr.uky.edu/me/) seeks candidates for a non tenure-track research faculty position at the assistant research professor level in the area of clean power and energy. This position is focused on qualified candidates with expertise in carbon capture and sequestration systems. The successful candidate will work closely with department faculty in this research area but will also demonstrate the potential to develop an active and independent research program that can support their activities and department graduate students. A minimum of five years of experience in energy research is essential. Duties will include 1) collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering and College of Engineering faculty, 2) developing proposals for federal, industrial and private agencies, 3) publishing scientific results, and 4) advising graduate students.

For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated.
