Job Summary/Basic Function

About This Role:

Directs the daily operations of the Registrar Office's Certification & Compliance & Transcripts & Graduation teams for both online and on-campus functions – maintaining the integrity of student academic records, developing systems to modernize functionality, enhance the effectiveness of services, overseeing staff, working with the Registrar to develop policies and procedures related to these two teams. Represents the Registrar's Office on university committees and at regional, state and national conferences in meetings. Serves as backup to the Registrar in their absence.

What You'll Do – Position Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to two key teams – Certification and Compliance and Transcripts and Graduation – within the Registrar's Office and take primary responsibility for planning, organizing, and evaluating the daily operations of these teams.
  • Develops goals and objectives for these teams, as well as developing, implementing and evaluating policies, priorities and standards for achieving these goals. Recommend and participate in the development, implementation and changes to university policies as it relates to transcripts, verifications, commencement, and records compliance, reporting and security. Ensure changes are communicated to the University community.
  • Serve as project lead, when needed, on internal projects related to the Certification and Compliance and Transcripts and Graduation teams.
  • Work with Information Technologies on upgrades, testing and to coordinate solutions and corrective actions related to these areas. Provides training on system as needed.
  • Serve as proxy for the Registrar and/or internal teams in committees, small groups and individual meetings, as needed.
  • Assist the University Registrar in the development and monitoring of the operating budgets.
  • Assists with the commencement ceremonies for all students – this may require work outside of standard office hours.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree
  • Ability to utilize a PC and software packages effectively is required – this should include minimum experience with a student information system.
  • Experience in a student records office in a college/university
  • Experience with Degree Works, Argos and Ellucian Banner software
  • 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.

    Salary $50,502 -$58,968 Work Hours Work schedule will be from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Additional hours or weekends will occasionally be required for graduation fairs and commencement ceremonies.
