VACANCY
For the selection of Associate, at the position of Assistant in the scientific domain of Social Sciences - fields: Psychology, Sociology, Pedagogy or Political Science, on a fixed-term contract of up to 60 months, in full time.
The position of Assistant encompasses participation in scientific research work within the Centre for Educational Research and Development.
Compulsory conditions:
– all candidates need to meet the general conditions stipulated by the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act,
– completed graduate or integrated university study in one of the specified scientific fields,
– total grade point average of the previous levels of study that enables enrolment in doctoral studies.
Priority shall be given to candidates meeting the following additional criteria:
– participation in scientific research work, published papers, presentations at scientific conferences, etc.,
– acknowledgements, awards, etc. for excellence,
– high motivation and pronounced research interest for the domain of work,
– excellent command of English.
Along with the application, candidates shall enclose:
– copy of certificate on completed graduate or integrated university study,
– degree transcript of all study exams with an overall average mark,
– certificate on recognition of foreign educational qualification for candidates who have acquired their qualification abroad,
– cover letter,
– CV with track record,
– proof of knowledge of Croatian, B2 level (for foreigners).
Candidates meeting the formal conditions of the public vacancy may be invited to an examination of knowledge, interests and motivation, and to an interview.
Candidates invoking their rights of priority in access to employment according to specific regulations need to submit all the prescribed documentation according to the special law.
Assistant is employed with the related coefficient of job complexity for the Assistant position, in accordance with the Regulation on Job Titles and Job Complexity Coefficients in Public Services. Employment includes a probationary period of 6 months.
Assistant is obliged to enrol in a postgraduate doctoral study with the purpose of obtaining a PhD degree. Candidates of both genders are eligible to apply in accordance with the Gender Equality Act. By applying to the vacancy, the candidate is considered to grant consent to the Institute for collecting and processing of personal data given in the application and in enclosed documentation regarding candidate selection.

Applications submitted after the deadline and applications without proofs of meeting the required conditions shall not be considered.
