The Dean of the Faculty of Psychology in Katowice at SWPS University invites
applications for the position of:
Assistant Professor
Faculty of Psychology in Katowice
as part of the teaching staff
Teaching hours: 360
Responsibilities:
Conducting classes in the field of psychology at the Faculty of Psychology
in Katowice;
Conducting research activities aimed at building scientific achievements.
Supporting university marketing activities, building relationships with
the social environment;
Actively engaging in the faculty's and university's activities.

Skills/Qualifications
Requirements :
A PhD in of in the field of social sciences in the discipline of
psychology (obtained no later than March 1, 2024);
At least one-year teaching experience in a higher education institution;
Research interests in the field of clinical and health psychology or
personality psychology or psychology of emotions and motivation;
Scientific achievements documented by scoring publications in the field of
psychology, active participation in scientific conferences and
participation in research projects implementation;
Availability to conduct classes also on weekends;
Very good command of the English language and the Polish language,
enabling the conduct of classes;
Very good computer skills and readiness to learn new applications;
Declaration of employment at SWPS University of Social Sciences and
Humanities as the primary workplace.

Eligibility criteria
Formal criteria:
Scientific achievements - 20% of the assessment;
Teaching achievements - 50% of the assessment;
Organisational and practical achievements - 30% of the assessment.

(with direct reference to the above mentioned eligibility criteria), as
well as a description of other professional experience and interests;
a copy of documents confirming receipt of a doctoral degree or a statement
of the date when the degree will be obtained.
