  • The project aims to investigate the AdS/CFT correspondence and the holographic principle. Particular focuses will be quantum information aspects of holography, such as entanglement entropy and measures of complexity, and applications of AdS/CFT methods to quantum field theory and condensed matter physics.

    Planned duration of employment 3 years.

    Expected date of employment commencement is 3rd quarter of 2023.

  • Selection process

    The first stage of the selection procedure is the formal assessment of the submitted documents. Applications which meet all formal requirements are the subject of substantive assessment, during which an interview with the Candidate may be conducted (directly or via electronic communication channels), upon settling the date of the interview with the Candidate. The Candidate has the right to appeal against the negative assessment by the selection board within 7 days from receiving the information about the results of the assessment.

    Knowledge in:

  • Quantum-information aspects of holography, such as entanglement entropy and complexity measures;
  • Applications of AdS/CFT to condensed matter theory and quantum field theory;
  • Fundamental aspects of the holographic principle;
  • Numerical techniques used in holography (e.g., numerical solution of partial differential equations).
