    assistant professor

    in the group of teaching staff

    at the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics

    Description of tasks in the position:

  • conducting research activities in the field of spectral remote sensing;
  • preparing and conducting classes in Polish and English;
  • disseminating research results in the form of scientific publications in journals indexed in the SCOPUS database and / or Web of Science;
  • participation in scientific conferences / symposia (domestic and foreign);
  • participation in workshops and trainings improving teaching and research qualifications as well as professional competences;
  • participation in organizational work for the unit and the university;
  • other tasks assigned by the head of the unit, resulting from the profile and nature of the unit and the university.
  • Requirements for the candidate:

  • has at least a doctoral degree in engineering and technical sciences or in the field of exact and natural sciences;
  • has teaching experience in the field of remote sensing;
  • has experience in conducting research in the field of remote sensing;
  • has the ability to process satellite (and / or drone) multispectral and hyperspectral data and their application in research on the natural environment;
  • has scientific achievements published in scientific journals indexed in the Scopus or Web of Science database, incl. as a leading or corresponding author;
  • has scientific achievements in the form of speeches at scientific conferences and seminars;
  • has experience in implementing and / or managing research projects financed from external sources, including: MEiN, NCN, NCBR, MRiRW, ERC;
  • has experience in conducting research in foreign research centers for at least 15 weeks;
  • knows Polish in speech and writing;
  • knows English at the level of min. B2;
  • meets the criteria set out in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science:
  • enjoys full public rights;
  • has full legal capacity;
  • was / was not convicted by a final judgment for an intentional crime or an intentional tax offense;
  • has not been punished with a disciplinary penalty of expulsion from work from the university with a ban on working at universities for a period from 6 months to 5 years or deprivation of the right to practice as an academic teacher for a period of 10 years.

  • scans of diplomas confirming education;
  • a certificate confirming the knowledge of a foreign language, indicating the level - required at the stage of the recruitment interview.
