Title Assistant Professor

Appointment Status Tenure Track Department IUPUI Science Position Summary

The Department of Computer and Information Science at IUPUI invites applications for one tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor although outstanding candidates at senior ranks will also be considered. While we welcome applicants in all areas of Computer Science to apply, we are especially interested in candidates in the following two areas: Intelligent Software Systems and Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. We also strongly encourage women and underrepresented minorities to apply. The positions will begin in August 2022. An applicant must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields, and is expected to develop a high-quality externally funded research program and be committed to excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate students. The successful candidate is also expected to build interdisciplinary collaborations and interactions with the local community.

The Department of Computer and Information Science offers Purdue University degrees at the Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. levels, The Department currently has 16 full time tenure track faculty and 3 full time teaching faculty. The CIS faculty members are committed to high quality research and teaching. Faculty research programs are well funded with grants that have been sponsored by the NSF, NIH, NASA, NSA, DHS, NIJ, DoD, and private organizations.
