Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
We are seeking applicants with research and teaching interests in any area of
Physical Geography who will contribute to the Department's GISci research and
teaching and/or to interdisciplinary data science initiatives at UNC-Chapel
Hill. We are especially interested in candidates who will expand our existing
strengths in climate, water, or ecology, who creatively incorporate geospatial
technologies and/or data science to complement their physical geography
teaching and research, and who will contribute to the department's commitment
to diversity and academic excellence.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Must have Ph.D. at the time of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Physical Geographer with interests in GISCi and/or data science. Must have a
Ph.D. in Geography or similar science.
