The School of Social Work invites applications for a full-time nine month
faculty position at the rank of assistant professor. Responsibilities include
teaching undergraduate and graduate social work students on campus and online;
developing new courses; conducting research, with the expectation of obtaining
external funding and publishing in top tier journals; involving students in
research; and participating in appropriate service activities. Collectively,
this position includes teaching, scholarship, and professional service.
Candidates that reflect the diversity of the School's student population and

Earned Ph.D. in social work or related field.
A CSWE-accredited master's social work degree with a minimum of two years
of post-MSW professional practice experience.
Experience conducting research related to one or more social work issues.
Experience teaching at the university level.
Demonstrated commitment to social justice, diversity, and inclusion.
Graduate and undergraduate student mentoring.
Teaching and/or research awards.
Experience teaching at the university level, both on campus and online.
Professional and/or post-doctoral experience in social work or related
Evidence of recent publication in indexed and peer-reviewed journals.
Evidence of grant writing experience.
Evidence of external funding.
