Underpinned by the quality of its research, WMG offers a wide range of MSc courses for full-time students and for company-based senior managers such as Airbus, AstraZeneca, and Lloyds Banking Group. We have extensive collaborative partnerships around the world and teach programmes in international centres across Europe and the Far East.

As part of our continuing expansion and development we are looking to strengthen our team by recruiting an Assistant Professor in International Business. This role will cover all aspects of International Business, including international business development through collaborations, mergers and acquisitions, with a specific focus on the associated operational practicalities of strategy implementation, at postgraduate and post- qualification level.

You will be involved in the design, organisation, delivery, management, and administration of teaching programmes up to MSc level, in addition to the supervision of Project Students up to Doctoral level (depending on qualifications) in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment. There will be some requirement to teach overseas. You should hold an Honours degree (or higher qualification) in an international business-related discipline and have practical experience of carrying out business internationally or working in an international organisation.

You will also need to be versatile, possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to operate in a flexible team environment. In return we can offer a dynamic and challenging environment at the interface with industry, and an opportunity to teach leading edge courses in the UK and overseas. This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop your own professional profile and work as part of a successful team, contributing to the development of its teaching and learning activities. In return we will provide a great range of benefits which include an attractive pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas closure, some fantastic savings on a wide range of products and services, and excellent learning and development opportunities.

At WMG we are committed to supporting staff to achieve their potential. We are supportive of staff with caring responsibilities including a generous maternity/paternity/adoption/parental leave policy, and onsite childcare facilities. We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
