Essential Functions
Primary responsibilities include teaching, research, and service. Teaching graduate courses such as: Psychological Testing, Assessment and Intervention, Consultation, and other related courses is expected. Ability to teach online required. Candidates are expected to demonstrate and maintain the highest quality of instruction and professional integrity. Expertise in cognitive, academic, and personality assessment is essential. Academic advisement and development of individual students' programs of study, as well as mentoring of school psychology students and interns, is an important part of the position. This includes university-based supervision of school psychology interns and coordination of internships with school-based site supervisors, and serve on graduate research committees. Coordination of the school psychology training program, including continued development and improvement of the program and maintaining standards related to accreditation is required. All faculty members are expected to be continually involved in research activities and engaged in university and community service roles.
Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. or Ed.D degree in School Psychology or related field from a NASP and/or APA accredited program. Candidate must be Tennessee BOE licensed or license eligible as a school psychologist.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a P-12 school-based school psychologist is preferred. Though not necessary, licensed or license eligible as a Health Service Provider Psychologist in Tennessee will be considered.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position to begin January 2023 or August 2023.
