FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Hunter College School of Nursing is the flagship nursing school of the City University of New York and prepares nurses for 21 st century practice in complex urban environments with diverse populations.

The School of Nursing invites applications for an Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2022. The successful candidate will maintain an active program of research, develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute service to the school, college, university, and profession that is appropriate for their rank. We are particularly interested in those with specialization in public health/community nursing, gerontological nursing, women's health and/or acute nursing practice. Additional duties include: responsibility for committee and department assignments, administrative, supervisory, and other functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. research degree in in Nursing or related field with MS in Nursing. Academic teaching experience and at least five years of nursing clinical experience.

New York State licensure as a nurse.

Vaccine Requirement:

Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.

COMPENSATION

CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs. Salary range: $51,242 to $97,580 commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience
