The University of Michigan Department of Pediatrics is seeking an experienced
clinician-scholar to serve as the new Director of the Division of Pediatric
Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. The Director will lead a team that
currently includes 11 pediatric endocrinologists, 5 nurses, 2 dieticians, and
3 social workers. There is a well-established Pediatric Endocrinology
The Division Director is expected to oversee and expand programs to deliver
state-of-the-art endocrinology care and research, to pursue her/his own
research program, and to promote the academic career development of faculty
Successful candidates will have a strong track record of scholarship and
national recognition in their field, and ideally be eligible for appointment
as Associate /Full Professor.
Requirements include an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree; eligibility for
medical licensure in the State of Michigan, and certification by the American
Board of Pediatrics, Pediatric Endocrinology sub-board. Evidence of clinical
competence and competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected.
This position is posted as Clinical Associate Professor/Clinical Professor
(clinical track) and Associate Professor/Professor (tenure track). Track
and rank of selected candidate is dependent upon qualifications.
