The University of Michigan Department of Pediatrics is seeking an experienced
clinician-scholar to serve as the new Director of the Division of General
Pediatrics. The Director will lead a team that currently includes over 70
pediatricians who work at 9 sites in Ann Arbor and other clinics in the
region, and also participate in in-patient coverage of the Newborn Nursery.
The Division Director is expected to oversee and expand programs to deliver
state-of-the-art pediatric and adolescent care and research, to pursue her/his
own research program, and to promote the academic career development of
faculty and trainees.
Successful candidates will have a good track record of scholarship and
national recognition in their field, and ideally be eligible for appointment
as Associate /Full Professor.
Requirements include an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree; eligibility for
medical licensure in the State of Michigan, and certification by the American
Board of Pediatrics. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in
clinical and didactic teaching is expected.
This position is posted as Clinical Associate Professor/Clinical Professor
(clinical track) and Associate Professor/Professor (tenure track). Track
and rank of selected candidate is dependent upon qualifications.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug
