The Department of Social Work at East Tennessee State University invites applications for a 9 and/or 12-month tenure track Assistant Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor position with primary teaching responsibilities in the MSW program (content competencies emphasize clinical social work practice with individuals, families, and groups). Some teaching in the BSW program is likely and/or teaching in a clinical setting. Other responsibilities include research/scholarship activity, service, academic advising, and participation in department and program governance.
We are seeking to fill two (2) vacancies. Candidates considered for a tenure-track position must possess a terminal academic doctoral degree by the start date and demonstrate the potential for research productivity. Clinical track appointments may be convertible to tenure-track no later than the end of year three of the appointment. Faculty rank commensurate with education and experience.

Required Qualifications
Masters of Social Work degree (or higher) with a minimum of two (2) years post-MSW professional practice experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience/expertise in the content areas for which the application is intended including integrated behavioral health and child welfare. A Ph.D. degree in Social Work or a closely related field is also preferred. (ABD in a Ph.D. program will be considered with completion of the doctorate required by the hire date.)
