The College of Professional Studies (CPS) at Villanova University invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of the Practice or Assistant Teaching Professor. The intended start date for this position is Fall 2023.

The College is currently comprised of approximately 165 adjunct faculty and two full-time non-tenure track faculty. The College of Professional Studies (CPS) offers four undergraduate degrees, including a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS), a Bachelor of Arts (BA), an Associate of Arts (AA), and an Associate of Science (AS), as well as post-baccalaureate and undergraduate, credit-bearing certificates and a rich portfolio of professional, non-credit-bearing education in areas such as Leadership, Business Process Improvement, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, and many others. CPS offers additional degrees and programs in partnership with other units at the University.

CPS provides adults with a rigorous Villanova education that can be customized to meet each student's individual needs. Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching on-campus and online courses within the multidisciplinary course offerings of the College of Professional Studies in both the credit and professional education (non- credit) space. The teaching load for the position is four courses per semester. A course reduction for administrative work or course/new program development may be offered for Fall and Spring semesters.

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD or other terminal degree is highly preferred; Master's degree required. Evidence of teaching effectiveness both in-person and online, and a demonstrated commitment to building classroom environments and campus communities that are inclusive, equitable, and diverse. Academic areas of expertise desired include Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Information Technology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, and related areas. Experience with developing and delivering corporate or workplace training is highly desirable.
