Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
Duties will include conducting and supervising research, supervising theses
and dissertations, supervising clinical practica, and teaching in the graduate
(Masters and Doctoral) and undergraduate programs in the department.
Candidates with demonstrated potential for extramural funding are encouraged
to apply. Candidates must be committed to a student-centered approach and have
a passion for teaching and mentoring a diverse student population.
Educational Requirements for the Position
Candidates must have a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program, and
must be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas (applicants who are ABD
will be considered, but the doctoral degree must be conferred by the start
date of the position).
Experience Required for the Position
Candidates should have an active program of research with potential for
external funding. As a member of the Department of Psychology and Philosophy,
area of specialty is open, but preference will be given to candidates with
expertise in one or more of the following areas: research and practice with
children and adolescents, research and practice related to diversity and
inclusion, and/or research and practice related to neuropsychology,
particularly neuropsychological assessment.

• Three letters of recommendation. For ABD applicants, one letter must be from
your dissertation director confirming that the Ph.D. requirements will be met
by August 1, 2022.
• Transcripts for all graduate education (applicants may submit unofficial
transcripts for initial screening; however, official undergraduate and
graduate transcripts are required for credential review prior to hiring)
