The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Texas State University
invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Japanese. Area
of Specialization: Open. This is a full-time position with a nine-month
academic year appointment to begin Fall 2022. All positions are subject to
availability of funds.
Ph.D. or ABD in Japanese or comparable field. Ph.D. in hand at the time of
Native or near-native fluency in Japanese.
Demonstrated excellence in language teaching.
Strong commitment to scholarly research, active student engagement, and
academic program development.
