The Division of Education, Health and Leadership at Southern Oregon University
(SOU) is seeking candidates for a full-time, nine month, tenure-track,
Assistant Professor in Health and Exercise Science. Initial
appointment at the rank of assistant professor requires a terminal degree or
ABD from an accredited institution in an exercise or health sciences field
such as Exercise Physiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology,
Exercise and Sport Science, Sport Nutrition or similar fields of study.
Teaching responsibilities include coursework in exercise physiology as it
relates to assessment, chronic disease and athletic performance and may
include online courses.
Other responsibilities include advising, research, collaborative curriculum
development and program assessment, oversite of the exercise physiology lab,
community outreach and networking, project supervision, professional
affiliations as appropriate, and other responsibilities as assigned.
