The School of Science, Engineering, and Technology (SET) at St. Mary's University, a private, four-year Catholic Marianist University located in San Antonio, Texas, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the area of electrical, computer, mechanical, aerospace, or software engineering, with the emphasis on Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) known as drones beginning fall semester 2023. This position requires a Ph.D. in electrical, computer, mechanical or software engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline and strong commitments to teaching, research, and service. ABD candidates with an expected completion date within one year of appointment will be considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following personal attributes: strong oral and written communication skills; highly organized; proactive; capable of working independently, yet also able to work in a team; the ability to establish rapport with a range of constituents across the campus; and the ability to work with a diverse student body in a multicultural environment.
The Engineering Department houses seven engineering majors with over 250 students across different majors in engineering.
