The School of Business at IU Kokomo seeks candidates for the position of Assistant Professor of Economics starting Spring/Fall 2024. Candidates having a Ph.D. or ABD in Economics will be considered. Teaching responsibilities will primarily consist of introductory microeconomics, macroeconomics, and business statistics. Experience teaching these courses in multiple modalities would be strongly preferred. Job duties include an expectation of research and service. The teaching responsibility is three courses per fall and spring semester. Additional preferred qualifications include an MBA or a similar business degree, experience in teaching at the MBA level, or experience in teaching MIS courses.
One of eight campuses of Indiana University, Indiana University Kokomo, is a comprehensive non-residential campus located 50 miles north of Indianapolis in Kokomo, Indiana, a city with a population of about 57,000. Basic Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics or a related Business field, preferably from an AACSB accredited institution. ABDs will be considered, but the candidates must have earned a Ph.D. within a year of the effective date of the appointment. Candidates must possess a record of excellent university- level teaching and evidence of the ability to carry on a body of research commensurate with being considered for promotion and tenure. Faculty should also be dedicated to experiential student learning and professional development, provide service to the school, university, and community.
