Applicants must have Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field; strong working knowledge of core computer science concepts, particularly cybersecurity, but also including data structures, software engineering, operating systems and computer architecture.
Preferred
Teaching experience and research at the university level; industry experience; administrative experience and committee work at the university level; experience developing an application from design to publication.
Primary Responsibilities
Teach Computer Science core and elective classes. Work with faculty on all campuses to develop a new degree program in Computer Science at the Rio Grande College campuses of Sul Ross State University in conjunction with the existing program on the Alpine campus. Work with faculty on all campuses to ensure teaching objectives match program objectives and students are able to transition from lower level to upper level course work.
Contribute to the formation of a new independent four-year university based in Eagle Pass.
Responsible for the safety of others. Must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times. Position is Security Sensitive.

The report contains information regarding campus safety and security including topics such as: campus law enforcement authority; crime reporting policies; campus alerts (Timely Warnings and Emergency Notifications); fire safety policies and procedures; programs to prevent dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking; the procedures the University will follow when one of these crimes is reported; and other matters of importance related to security on campus. The report also contains information about crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in On-Campus Student Housing Facilities; in Noncampus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University or a recognized student organization; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.

About SRSU
The SRSU campuses in Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde comprise Rio Grande College. RGC offers upper-level courses leading to bachelor's degrees as well as master's degree programs and works closely with its partner institution, Southwest Texas Junior College, to provide a seamless transition to RGC for their students. All RGC students hold an Associate degree from an accredited institution or they have completed 42 semester credit hours of transferrable work.
