The candidates will also contribute collaborative research, teach educational courses, provide support for the new Data Science Curriculum, and participate in the Belmont Data Collaborative (BDC) joint activities. Job Description: Data Science has become a prominent discipline because of its ability to identify information and patterns hidden among raw complex data. At the center of this growth is also the interdisciplinary aspect of the field and the applicative nature of its use in countless areas such as medical, business and technology fields. With a vision for the future, the College of Sciences & Mathematics is focusing on efforts related to the new Belmont Data Collaborative (BDC) which aims to partner with Nashville STEM industry leaders as Belmont University seeks to be a “globally recognized source of morally-grounded data fluency.” As a result, we are seeking a candidate that can both support the goals of BDC, as well as assist with teaching fundamental and specialized courses within our Computer and Data Science programs.
