Description

The Business Department at Pfeiffer University is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Business Administration.

Pfeiffer University delivers a transformational, personalized education wherein students are shaped by a gifted, diverse, and committed community of mentors. This is a 9-month position, beginning August 1, 2023.

Responsibilities include primarily teaching in the candidates expertise. Additional teaching responsibilities will include courses in the array of business principles. The candidate will have responsibilities that may include academic advising and participating in departmental and University committees. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence in a small liberal arts university. The successful candidate is also expected to engage in campus activities and student-led functions, to actively engage in professional development, and to provide service to the institution.

Pfeiffer University is a private Liberal Arts University affiliated with the United Methodist Church, whose mission is to prepare students for a lifetime of achievement, scholarship, spirituality and service.

Frequent walking and some travel required.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. / terminal degree in the field of business management with a focus on marketing. Candidates who are ABD or who hold a masters degree with at least 18 graduate hours in business management/marketing will be considered.

Experience leading programs in the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and/or coordinating assessment of business programs is a plus.
