Primary Duties and
The Department of Biology at Belmont University is seeking applications for
two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor
beginning August 2022.
Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in Human Anatomy &
Physiology. Additional teaching may include upper-level courses in the
candidate's area of expertise that support and complement current departmental
offerings. This position will also contribute to introductory biology courses
for majors and non-majors and courses within the general education curriculum.
Full-time teaching load is 24 hours per academic year. The successful
candidate will also develop a robust research program that incorporates
undergraduate students and complements current research offerings. Additional
responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly
activity, and departmental, college and university service. As all Belmont
undergraduates complete an innovative general education program with
significant interdisciplinary components, Belmont University is particularly

collaboratively in course design and to teach interdisciplinary and topical

Required Education Ph.D. or progress toward a terminal degree is
